I escaped by a whisker, took off screaming after witnessing Kamau being shot in cold blood. I took all the money I had saved at our hideout and left for Nyeri immediately. I saw on the news what happened to the rest of my gang, two dead, one arrested.
I was a wanted man. With everywhere to run but nowhere to hide. I needed to go AWOL. Underground.
