Our dad is now back home and loving us again Months After he Dumped us
We are a young family living in Uganda where we were born. My father and my mother used to love each other they had peace all through their marriage until something bad happened.
Whenever I think about this story my heart breaks because I usually see how painful this was to my mother who never wronged our dad. In our family we are three. I have another sister and one brother.
When we are young our father used to love my mother a lot. He also loved all of us and used to take us for weekend outings. He would buy us fish and clothes. He would shower my mother with a lot of love and birthday celebrations.
However two years ago we started seeing a change in the way he conducted his affairs. He became absent and arrogant. He would yell at our mother and sometimes he would even slap him infront of us. We couldn’t understand why he was behaving that way. One day I dared ask him why he was cruel and he slapped me hard in the face. I ran away upto my bedroom and started to sleep. Afew minutes later I heard all my siblings also cry laud. They were being beaten. My mother couldn’t speak anything. She only looked helplessly from a distance. It was painful and I could see the pain in her eyes. She felt like she was not wanted. What the hell!
One day when our dad left us home with mom for three days without food, my mom decided we leave to her mother’s place yaani shosh. We packed and left at around 10AM. Our dad had left for job.
We arrive at our granny’s place at night and she received us well. I heard her ask our mother why she had to travel late and my mother narrated that she had to leave her matrimonial home because life was not so good. My shosh looked in huge shock and prepared her for an early morning journey.
In the morning we woke up at exactly 6Am and she took us to somewhere where we met a traditional doctor called Mugwenu. When we arrived at our shosh place at around 4PM, we found our cruel dad waiting for us. He was remorseful and said he was not doing it deliberately. He had to go back alone. He returned to continue begging but my mom was reluctant until the sixth day is when shosh allowed us back saying we are safe. The man had been changed by Mugwenu traditional medicine. He was now harmless.
As we speak, we are now back at home and our dad loves us a lot. He buys mom everything and they spend time together like a couple.
