Man Who Survived Death Same Spot Kiptum Perished Speaks About Ghost He Saw Before Crash a Day After His Burial

Kenya and the world at large is still mourning world marathon record holder Kelvin Kiptum, even as his family laid him to rest at his rural home.
As people come to terms with the fact that Kiptum is no more, a man who had two near-death experiences at the same spot where Kiptum died, has spoken.
The businessman in Eldoret town says he believes the spot along the Eldoret-Kaptagat highway has an evil spirit hovering around it, with the aim of causing deaths through nasty accidents.
John, who requested us to hide his second name due to the sensitivity of the matter, recounted that he once lost control of his double-cabin vehicle.
He was driving at night after visiting a client who had contracted him to supply building materials.
According to John, he saw a ghost-like being that made him crash into the ditch badly but walked out unscathed.
“It was at night I saw a woman-like figure standing on the road. The head looked strange, the person wore a white dress and just stood on the road nodding his head. I switched to full beam, and honked the horn, but the person did not move. I was driving at 90km/h. I slammed the brakes, swerved, my car lost control and entered a ditch. In his second account, the business tycoon says his delivery truck burst its tyre at the same spot, but the driver managed to steer it; it hit a tree on the side of the road, but the damage was not very bad.
“I always insist on hiring drivers with defensive driving skills. This time around, I was travelling with the driver to deliver the construction material. We survived death for the second time in a span of a week. This time, the driver said he saw a boda boda man crossing the road while carrying a white coffin, but after stopping, he was nowhere to be seen.
Witnesses also claimed they never saw him,” he narrated, adding that he now believed the spot was jinxed or someone was trying to kill him.
