The stolen goat pepper soup that landed three Kibwezi theives in a serious trouble
Three suspected goat thieves were nabbed by vigilante members as the gang members were making pepper soup with a stolen goat in Kibwezi. The three had been a threat in the area as residents had even reported the increase in cattle theft left them vulnerable.
The three men who were found glued to each other in a bush were found with a recipe. The only thing that they had been waiting for was to kill the poor goat, but karma came too fast. According to a road passer, he was attracted by the bleating goat and who he arrived at the scene he pounced on three men glued together.
“I screamed really hard something that attracted a gigantic crowd. The three men remained glued to each other, with the stolen goat tied with a rope on a tree trunk near them. I had never seen such a rare occasion in my life. I was used to the Ukambani kamuti but this was a rare issue,” he said.
A few minutes later, the goat owner arrived at the scene. The irate mob were planing to lych the three poor thieves before the police intervened with swift response. However, the three were taken to the police station for further grilling. As the incidence is said to have brought tension in the area.
