Timothy 36 years of age just like any other employees really yearned for a job promotion. Things went well as he got promoted at a glance but his salary however did not match with his new job promotion. “My new job rank was meaningless. I rather wished to have retained my former position. This did not impact my life at all. I wondered why my other colleagues had slight high salary than me. I had no other option left but to stay low and perform my duties despite earning peanuts,” he said.
He worked at the job rank for almost five years. All his efforts of seeking a better pay never worked out. The company always turned down each time he tried to raise a pay rise issue.
“I tried all means to ensure the company fell into my demands. I even tried using witchcraft from Ukambani, as someone told me this would easily solve my problem but nothing seemed working at this particular point,” he said.
