“Siwezi ishi kwa ndoa na mume asiye na kisomo” A Kenyan woman says as she leaves her marriage but she stayed for ten years looking for an educated man
Love does not chose whether one partner is more educated, rich or old than the other. A lady identified as Daisy Njeri 41 years almost lacked someone to marry her after she came up with a slogan that she cannot get into marriage with an academic dwarf. Njeri got into marriage with her first lover who was a form four leaver but they did not last for long. The man had a better job and high financial muscle than Njeri.
She left the marriage just because her man was a form four leaver. A lot of her friends asked her why she chose to leave the marriage despite having a good responsible man.
“Mimi siwezi olewa na mwanaume hana digrii ama masters. Nataka baba ya watoto wangu akuwe kielelezo cha familia yetu,” she said.
She waited for another ten years for an educated man but no one knocked at her door. It seems she had curses herself. The man she first left had already got another woman and he was in marriage. She said she regretted being choosy. All signs showed that Njeri would live a single life for the rest of her life.
