When you want to open a business, you always don’t want anyone to cross or interfere with your plans.

I am one of those guys who when they want to accomplish something, it must be done no matter what.

I had saved about sh 460,000 to start my wholesale business and first I had to find and rent a business room in Kitale Town. I got a business room worth sh 25,000 per month and paid it with equal deposit.

I prepared the room with all the shelves in place ready to start the business the following month and, therefore, I went to Nairobi to make purchases of my first stock. I traveled to Industrial Area where I bought goods worth sh 250,000 and packed into a canter lorry back to Kitale.

I arrived in Kitale at about 4.50 PM but found my business room locked with two more padlocks. I called the landlord and sought to know what had happened only for him to tell me that the room was under a dispute; a court dispute and it was hard for me to use it until the matter is settled.

I immediately became confused and asked him where he was. He then switched off his phone. Remember, I was stranded with stock still in the hired canter from Nairobi. The owner of the vehicle got tired and offloaded the items and left back to Nairobi. I paid him sh 10,000.
