A man identified as Mwangi living in Kibera shared a painful story on how he found his house empty. His story was indeed funny keeping in mind he narrated in a way that broke people’s ribs. He said he had no formal job and so he depended on menial jobs like working on construction sites, popularly known as mjengo. One evening he came from his hustle tired, keeping in mind at mjengo they were doing an overload of work.

He found his house vacant as the caretaker had placed a vacant sticker. At first he thought he was knocking on the wrong house. So he went three steps back and indeed confirmed that was the house. He was in disbelief. People who came at the scene were only consoling him by telling him pole! pole! He said he had hustled hard to buy everything in their house and his wife behavior was taking him more steps backwards.

“Hio usiku ilibidi nilale kwa nyumba ya watchman. Sikujua nini kilisababisha bibi yangu atoroke hata na sufuria pamoja na nguo zangu zote,” he said.

He said he even forgot to attend his hustle the next day as he was indeed frustrated by his wife’s move. Through his friend he was told there was a way he would use to recover his lost items.
