“I want a man who smells cash and not peanuts” A Lady says after she said this, she was nearly missing to get into marriage
A Nairobi woman identified as Anne-not his real name said there was no need not women to have much expectations when getting into marriages as everything is planned by God. This came after she had set high standards on a man to marry her but things did not go her way. She said she always wanted a man who had a lot of money and who always smell cash and not peanuts. With this kind of expectation, she was indeed lagging behind as her friends were getting in marriage. She was unlucky as no man was even approaching her for marriage.
She said she regretted. She was the one begging for a relationship. Even the middle class men were not approaching her for marriage. She indeed has a feeling that she curses herself with these high standards that no man was willing to meet so as to get into marriage with her. All her age mates had got into marriages. She was forced to lower her expectations to the man who wanted to get into marriage with her but it seemed it was too late for her.
“I had set high standards but it seemed the curse came to haunt me. I was each day approaching 40 years and no man has even proposed to me. What was even worried me was the kind of pressure that has been coming from my friends and close relatives,” she said.
