Ronald Kanyari, a 29-year-old former gospel singer couldn’t hide his tears as he tore into details of a drug addiction journey that threatened to kill him before the realization of vision 2030. The first thing he was quick to mention was the fact that getting addicted occurs pretty fast. A drug like heroine gets you addicted very quickly, leaving you craving more of the same vivid hallucinations you just had. He was an aspiring gospel singer back in 2012 when he got introduced to the first of many drugs to consume. That was marijuana, which he thought helped him relax, compose songs and gain confidence during a performance or gig. Then someone mixed it with a tranquilizer one day and opened a Pandora box. Within a few months, he had graduated from Marijuana to cocaine, heroin and Meth. His brother received a phone call one day that Ronald has been found in a ditch, barely breathing.
