This is why this woman held on her marriage despite abuses
Sharp screams would come from her house. Most of the times the screams were followed by breaking of glasses. Shouts of “I will kill you” and “Baba Zara come down” plus a baby crying. But she instead went back to her abuser. She said she was so much in love with her husband despite him subjecting her to such a severe beating each particular time.
She further accompanied her husband to the police to report how neighbors had really assaulted him and demanded their arrest. This left an egg on the neighbor’s faces, obviously asking themselves why the woman went back to her abuser. Fighting each day became their norm. Each day her husband came back home drunk then that day a fight would erupt.
At times their only child would tell their neighbors on how her parents fought for a whole night. At times she would get to bed hungry as most of the times the fight never gave his mum an ample time to cook.
