Maina Karani is a happy man after his dream to marry a rich Kiambu Tycoon's daughter is realized after her father agreed to obtain a 1Ksh Dowry in exchange of her daughter.

Speaking after the wedding ceremony which was happening today near the Ruiru gold club, Mr Maina has said that "at first I had the fear that the poor should not get married to the rich and really thought it was the greatest achievement in life aman could afford in his life time."

Karani has extended that "growing up in a poor family where even affording food to eat was a problem was his biggest sorrow" adding that while he grew he wished that one day even if he won't make it in life, he would get a woman from rich families in the country to be his wealth and help him build wealth.

Maina who dropped out at form 4 says that, since there was no money to proceed with his education together with the big schoolfees debt he had in school he opted to go look for casual jobs and got employed in one of the companies owned by one of the big families in Kenya.

"I did there for 5 years, the lady who was the M.D was a daughter to one of the rich tycoon in Kiambu. Infact the company was theirs, I admired marrying her, but was not driving a big car like the one she had and neither did I have big enough money to take her out for a date. I hated my self," Maina has said.

Adding that he had to think of a strategy.
