Sheila suffered domestic violence from her hubby. She had been in marriage for 5 years now. Husband had turned to be violent and in most of the cases he would beat her up even without offending him. Things were not that good as her husband one day came home and beat her up for failing to prepare dinner despite leaving ksh 500 to purchase the meal they were supposed to eat that night. He did this by the use of our cooking stick,” She said” we have been in marriage for five years and this was almost the tenth time he was doing this. I used to forgive him hoping things would change one day. This time he went too far and the neighbors had to intervene,” she lamented.
That month she had to leave her marriage and went back to stay with her sister in Mombasa as things had been really not going well and despite loving her hubby he feared one day he would even kill her.
