A wedding in Matungu served so much juice over the weekend, there was a shortage of fruits in the entire region. This was after the bride, Elizabeth Musyoka cancelled the wedding under mysterious circumstances, gathered her family and left, screaming insanities at the best man on her way out. All the wedding preparations were complete, only for those in attendance to be left completely speechless by the horrific nature and the events leading to the premature ending of what was dubbed as “Casino Royale” wedding. According to a reliable witness at the wedding, things started going amiss four to five days before the wedding. The bride slept with the best man, thinking he actually wanted her. As it turned out, he had been sent by the groom-to-be to test her loyalty. They had created the perfect profile for him to appear as appealing as possible. Unfortunately, Elizabeth fell for the trap and gave away a cookie she was supposed to bake for five more days and serve only to her duly wedded husband.

It was only after Elizabeth had left that the groom spilt the beans to the remaining guests about what had actually transpired. He had actually planned to humiliate her by rejecting her live on camera when somehow, Elizabeth found out his cheeky plan. Those who had carried gifts demanded them back, the pastor was adamant he was hungry and had to be given a pricey token of appreciation for showing up before he left. To make matters worse, that very night, the best man sought Elizabeth, who was visibly shaken and stressed and slept with her again, much to the bemusement of Elizabeth’s younger sister who clearly wanted a piece of him too. The groom took the opportunity to delve into his political ambitions and started campaigning to the remaining guests. The event organizers were left fuming after the remaining balance couldn’t be paid; the treasurer took advantage of the mayhem and left, disguised as a lady in pink lipstick.

It took a while for the groom, Timothy Munene to settle back and gather himself. When he did visit Elizabeth at their home in Machakos, he was informed that she had been rather busy these past three months. She wasn’t there. She was actually getting married that very weekend to Laban Mueni Kasyoka, a rich businessman from Kitui. The wedding was happening at Serena Hotel in Mombasa. How did she settle so quickly?? Rich businessman? Upon further inquiry, he was informed that a day or two after the capitulation of their betrothal ceremony, she traveled to Vihiga and came back a changed soul. Not long after she met Laban. Turns out, she had gone to visit a traditional herbalist called Dr mugwenu. She sought him for his powerful love spells. They worked immediately. Now, she is getting married. He left, swearing to find out who this Mugwenu is and what he can do for him too.
