He went to steal and forgot himself. He started sleeping again!!!

Residents of Mulumba Village in Kakamega County were left in surprise after a thief forgot himself and fell a sleep in a house that he had broken into with an intention of stealing.

The thief identified as Wamalwa from the neighbouring Bungoma county had swept Mr. Wefunga’s house clean and packed everything ready to leave but was unable to leave the house.

Confused and lost, he chose to spend the night in the house until he was nabbed in the morning still in his dreams. Sources claim they caught him still snoring.

The area assistant chief said that he was called by the local Nyumba Kumi administration.

Mr Wamalwa did not wake up despite the noises that residents were making outside the house. He was carried outside the house and made to sleep on wet grass but he couldn’t wake up again. He only managed to wake up after the owner of the house Mr. Wafunga arrived and gave him afew light strokes on his back.

A mob standing nearby wanted to give him a thorough beating but were restrained by security officers who immediately arrived to rescue him.

Though it is not clear whether Wamalwa is suffering from any sleeping disorder like Trypanosomiasis (caused by tsetse fly bites); locals alleged that Mr. Wefunga(owner of the home) had used a renown traditional African magician by the name Mugwenu Doctors.
