A 23 year old Kenyan lady hawked sweets in the streets but later got a job after this spell

A lady who finished her education from Nairobi University turned into hawking sweets in Nairobi streets after things failed to work out in her job pursue. She said unemployment pushed her to into hawking something she never imagine to one day do in her life. She said the business was good since she was able to meet her basic needs like paying her rent and finding something to eat. “I am not going to lie as unemployment in the country pushed me to this kind of job. I decided to go into hawking as that was the only way I would make my life good since I was so much tired with forwarding my CVs in offices only to be rejected.”

She said she was not ready to sit back just like the other youth did when they lacked jobs something that made them to be cry babies. She knew at one particular time she would just get her desired job as she had hope and believe one day things would work her way. In a day she would make she 800-1000 an amount that was good to ensure her life was good. Most of her colleagues she graduated with had secure jobs for themselves and she wondered how she was still lagging behind.

She never had something to bribe people in top offices to offer her a job neither did she want to have make favors like having sex with people in top offices for a job. She was such a principled lady. other people would offer her jobs but most of them wanted her to work for three months with no pay to see the level of her skills, something she says would not have been possible since she needed some upkeep money.
