Her job was the easiest. Fauzia only had to pretend to be selling a gold necklace at a throw-away price and lure her victims into a rather thin alley along Old Town, where a group of four men would surround them, take everything, slap her once or twice and then repeat the same procedure all over again. Fauzia and her gang went through hell. The old man returned, with a small gathering of family members and friends. They found them still frozen, like statues, at the same spot. They received the kind of beating that Fauzia says she won’t ever forget.
