An ex-Voi primary school pupil is now by far one of the richest men in Kenya. A man who left schooling in primary standard seven because of lack of school fees surprises many people with his prowess in English language and mastery of the mining business. His entry among the rich folk started counting way back in his early 20s. Mwamburi reported to have visited his paternal uncle, a dealer who worked in Taita Taveta mines where he landed his first employment as a tea boy since he had struggled for a long time without getting any job due to his small age.
Over time, Mwamburi mastered the cores of the mining business before engaging himself in the dirty mining pits where he emerged out with more precious stones that are notably more valuable and expensive than gold. Mwamburi revealed that after many years of his struggles after he dropped out of school nobody was willing to give him a job since he was too young to be employed.
