Residents of Ematioli village in Kwisero sub County were treated to a rare spectacle when suspected cattle goat thief allegedly ate bleated profoundly with no help after a herbal doctor administered a concoction to him.

The owner of the of the stolen cattle, Zablon Angatia sought the services of a renowned traditional herbal doctor, Mugwenu after his his efforts to recover the missing animals during azimio protests became futile.

Angatia says he went to the market for his daily activities and on return, his animals were nowhere to be found.

“I was disturbed. I informed the local administration and visited almost all cattle rings in the county with no success. I was then advised by a neighbour to seek the services of the herbal doctor,” he said.

“I called the traditional doctor, who administered his services through long distance healing. After an hour, a man was heard bleating profoundly in a bush and when people came close they found a man tied himself to a tree with the goats,” he said.

The residents were treated to more drama as the alleged suspect started eating green vegetables like goats while rolling on the ground. He were roughed up by irate residents after he admitted stealing the goats.

“I needed money for alcohol and that is why I decided to steal the goats where I took protests as an advantage,” he said.

The herbal doctor later resuscitated the suspect by reseversing the spells.
