A lady recalls how she missed job promotions as her boss disliked her much

I had really qualified for a job promotion and each day I wondered why my boss played his game cards to ensure I never got a job promotion. Despite having worked in the company for more than 12 years, still it was such a difficult time since I had not been promoted a single time. No one in the company had more qualification and experience than I heard since I had seen all their documents a I was the secretary of the company hence all documents passed through me to my boss.

Each time there was a chance of promotion in the company, a new person got promoted while I was left behind. I even wondered how the newly employed persons in the company got promoted having only worked in the company for even less than six months. Maybe I hear some bad luck as I told myself. I was really in need of the job promotion since I was tired of each month getting some low salary despite my prestigious qualifications. Each month I would write promotion seeking letters to my boss but surprisingly I would find them in the shredding machine or at times I would come across them in the office dust bin.

At some point I decided to look for an alternative job which really paid some good money. This was really some difficult task keeping in mind in Kenya one had to know someone to get a job. I never got one and still here at my current job things were not going well as I had not been promoted for quiet some long time. Each day I would pray for some new beginning but really nothing was coming my way. I felt like a disrespected employee. There was not big difference between the salary I earned and of the people who were hired in the company for some internship. Most of the times I felt so much offended.  After sometimes I learned about a traditional doctor on social media that had been helping people get jobs and at the same time get promotions at their work place. This was my only chance of getting things done since I was so much tired of working in the same position with a low pay on the same company for more than ten years.
