My ex-boyfriend Victor left Kenya in 2019 and went to Dubai where he managed to himself secure a well-paying job.
On the day he was leaving the country, I accompanied him to the airport – Kisumu – where he took a flight to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport JKA and finally to Dubai.
We had an agreement with him that our relationship shall continue despite the distance; and true, we continued chatting and sending each other fresh photos every day. Our WhatsApp chats were full of romantic chats.
