I am a middle aged man who was lucky to marry a beautiful professional lady who works with an international non-governmental organization whose headquarters are based in Switzerland.
We met with Peninah three years back in Nairobi City and we started living together as husband and wife. Our first house was in Umoja.
I can confess here that, at first, she was a very respectful woman who used to treat me well. She even donated me one of her cars which I have been using in my businesses. The lady was very good and she used to support me financially to stabilize my business.
Anytime she returned home every evening she could treat me like a king and made sure her man is comfortable and spent time with me every weekend, sometimes, taking good drinks together in restaurants with our small kid. I loved her and she also loved me a lot.
But, sadly, towards the end of our third year, she started changing slowly and at some point she could not hear anything I asked of her. She could even hurl insults at me. Very sad and disappointing!
So one evening while taking supper together, I asked why she had started changing and she called me stupid! I looked at her and she repeated the same insult – stupid!
