Now the hiring process is pretty straightforward. You apply, wait for feedback. Go for interviews, wait again and finally if lucky or overqualified report to work. Only this time it was different. When I showed up at their offices, I was told that at least 800 others have already submitted their credentials for further perusal. Some obviously more qualified and desperate. The competition was rather stiff. There was even a PhD holder from Cambridge!!! How do I even the odds?? Or possibly gain an edge?? Would I even make the shortlist of those to be interviewed?? This was yet another David Vs Goliath battle, only this time Goliath has learnt from previous failures. Five stones won’t be enough.
