I am Anne and I work as a secretary in a public university in Nairobi in one of the most renowned offices in the institution. My boss had the habit of each time behave in an awkward manner as sometimes he would be abusive and pill lots of work at my desk. He would talk ill to other workers on how lazy I was despite my efforts of ensuring that everything in the office goes on well. I remained patient for I had no other job I was to get if I had been fired from the office. Day by day he would abuse me on how I was an ugly lady who did not even deserve to in his office as the secretary. I did not want to get in an argument with him since I knew he had the ability to sack me off.
My other work mates would caution why I tolerated him to be so abusive. I would spend much time working where sometimes I did not have that ample time to have break maybe for lunch or even tea break. Despite the little salary I was earning still I stuck by the job. I never had time to argue with him but instead I concentrated on work. He had sometimes wanted us to have a sexual affair but I shunned the idea away and that’s what made him to have frequent insults to me.
